Call for Price

A pristine and sparkling bullion minting, it’s the first .9999 pure 24 karat gold coin to be struck by the US Mint — truly a historic and stylish way to beef up your gold holdings.

About the American Buffalo Gold Coin

The American Buffalo Gold Coin carries a face value of $50, and is US legal tender. It comes in sealed plastic and the US government guarantees the coin’s authenticity and purity.

The obverse face of the coin features a Native American chieftain in profile, repurposed in tribute from James Earle Fraser’s original, iconic design of the 1913 Indian Head Nickel. The reverse side features the titular buffalo himself, in this case a rendering of Black Diamond, an actual bison and well-known inhabitant of New York’s Central Park Zoo in the early 1900s.

About the New Pressing

The American Buffalo Gold Coin's latest edition began its newest run in 2006, the first 24 karat gold coins of its kind, and has continued production annually to great popularity in the ensuing years. The coins also come in half-ounce ($25 face value), quarter-ounce ($10), and tenth of an ounce ($5) pressings.

Note these are uncirculated coins and carry the W mint mark to distinguish them from the regular bullion offerings.

They’re fully guaranteed and IRA eligible. Rarely is a bullion product this secure and pristine. As always, Crown Bullion is more than happy to advise prospective buyers on whether this coin is right for your precious metals portfolio. Any coin bought from us will always come to you in immaculate condition straight from the mint itself.
